Search Engine Optimisation
B Being well found in Google is no easy task. Are you just starting to do that? 5 tips to
yo get you started with Search Engine Optimization, or making your website as search
eaengine friendly as possible.
yo Since Google is undisputedly the largest search engine, it is essential to take into
hisaccount the requirements of this company when building and designing your website.
The Google search engine ranks pages on speed,
safety and relevant and clear content. Websites that meet these
requirements are guaranteed to rank higher in the Google ranking.
1. Determine your goal and target audience
Determine your goal and target group before you
start writing (or have it written). And address your target group in your
text with relevant information and a tone that appeals to the visitors of your
company.
2. Provide good content
About seventy percent of the internet users only
look at the first four search results. A strong argument to make the content
on your webshop or site SEO-friendly. You can be poetic, but if no one can
find your site, it won't help you. On the other hand, content cluttered
with SEO terms is illegible.
In a text of a hundred words, reporting eight times
that your bikes are strong and fast quickly becomes annoying. In that
case, visitors drop out, which Google is not happy with and it will not yield
you a conversion. If you write a web text about your company, think of
arguments why others should work with you. Why is your service or product
distinctive and why does it make the world a better place?
3. Keywords
Once your text has been written, it is time to pay
attention to the keywords. Google would like to know what your text is
about as soon as possible. Therefore, process the keywords elegantly in
the meta description, url and headings (h1, h2, h3) in your text and
introduction.
Two or three supporting search terms, which are an
extension of the search terms and a number of synonyms, also provide more
SEO. Appropriate images (preferably with title), relevant downloads (for
example white papers), blogs and product descriptions can ensure even more
optimization.
You can also use some free tools, for example to
find out which keywords potential customers use. Like the keyword
planner, a Google AdWords tool that also allows you to see what the search
volume is. The search volume is the number of searches that contain these
keywords. Keep in mind that the keywords with high search volumes often
have a lot of competition. Therefore try to be specific and take on the
role of the 'viewfinder'.
Keep it short
Limit the text to 250 to 300 words. Your
reader wants to be informed quickly and to the point. If you have a longer
message, make sure you have tantalizing headlines above texts of about a
hundred words.
5. Take your time and start writing
Once you have determined your message, target group
and keywords, really start. Take your time, sit down and write, with the
above tips in mind. Make it convincing and make sure you touch people, for
example with a personal anecdote in “About us”. That is often the main
(unconscious) reason why they choose you.
Also consider how you want the readers to
respond; what action should they take and how do you make this as
attractive as possible? Summarize the benefits of your product or service,
quote experts by experience, and explain your customer's problem you are
solving. Then check whether your story meets the predetermined message,
target group and keywords.
I know these tips helped you out. I hope you get to your end goals. Check this page for additional info on how to improve your SEO rankings.
